ACNS President's Message
Dear Colleagues,
It is my greatest pleasure to cordially welcome you to join the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS) Web Conference 2020. All of us gathered here with a unified aim to deliver the knowledge of neurosurgery to young neurosurgeons who need to learn the core concepts for improvement the practice. Gaining sophisticated clinical application is not possible without the knowledge of basic science in disease. The good practice of neurosurgery should be combined both.
Other important issue, neurosurgical nurses is one of the driving powers of neurosurgical teamwork to care a lot of patients for intensive care unit, operation room, neurosurgical ward and interventional radiology unit.

Nurses working in a hospital’s and treat patients suffering from everything from stroke, brain tumor, cerebrovascular disease, congenital to traumatic brain injuries. They must vigilantly monitor their patients, watching for neurological decline and intervening as soon as possible. These works need special and individual skill in their field and extensive to be an assistant to the neurosurgeons such as cerebral aneurysm surgery, interventional neuroradiology and neuro-ICU monitoring, etc.
As all of us know, the knowledge and techniques used in neurosurgical fields for the nurses are the most challenging factor especially in this modern era. Learn and precise practice can be achieved for their carriers.
I truthfully welcome you to enjoy this course for the nurse session and hope it can be an inspiration for all neurosurgical nurses to move forward on their career.

On behalf of the executive Board of the Asian CNS and its President, Prof Yoko Kato, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 1st ACNS Virtual Conference, from 11th to 13th December 2020.
The Covid 19 pandemic has changed everything in our lives, including patient care. It has majorly affected our academic meetings and conferences due to restrictions on travel and gatherings which are in place.
However, life must go on...

Guidelines for Presentation
All submission will be made electronically only through the website.
Abstracts centre shall be open on 1st of October 2020 and shall close on 20th November 2020.
All presenters must register for the conference at the time of submission of abstract

General Instructions: Award Papers
1. The Award Paper category is available only for Young Neurosurgeons (under the age of 45 years).
2. The paper must be original work done by the YNS.
3. The complete article as per guidelines of the Asian Journal of Neurosurgery must accompany the abstract for it to be considered in the category.
4. If Not accepted for the award section, the abstract will be considered for a free paper.
5. Papers accepted for the Award Section will be sent to the Editor AJNS for consideration for publication in the journal.
6. Awardees will be sent a Certificate of award which can be downloaded after the conference from the website.

1. Abstracts should be sent in English.
2. Maximum words 250.
3. Abstracts for Free Paper Platform should be structured as: Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
4. Poster Abstracts for Case Studies may use the structure: Introduction, Case Report, Conclusion, References.

2. Video Abstracts should be structured as Introduction, Case details, Surgical technique highlights.
